Por si no tuviera poco lio, aprovechando el viento, me he metido en el asunto del linux, que hasta ahora me habia dejado en la mochila, y claro, no habia tenido tiempo de sacar.
Visto el rumbo que lleva el <> con su W Vista, cada vez me tira mas para atras el quedarme en ese lado de la carretera. Es una lastima que en el loqueseaX no haya tanto soft astronomico,sobre todo en el tema de ccd's. En el de planisferios y demas ahora tambien se han tirado a la piscina los chicos de Cartes Du Ciel. Cuando se animaran los de Guide? o ya lo han hecho, no lo se. Igual ahora mismo me doy una vuelta por su pagina.
Bueno, en cualquier caso, despues de que tuve que operarme en agosto, y que los dos portatiles que tenia en casa fenecieron (maldito momento) me hice con un !horror! thinkpad, que esta resultando ser mas duro de lo esperado. Y mas para ser de segunda mano, claro esta. Y aprovechando que el Tajo pasa por Paris, y que por primera vez tengo sitio suficiente en el disco duro, pues he montado un par de particiones, ademas del relamido XP, con ubuntu, para ver que tal va el asunto. De momento la verdad es que lo estoy usando mas que al ninio de Gates.
Veremos....
Por cierto, animo a todo aquel que sepa de soft astronomico para esto, a que me de un toque -sobre todo en cuestion de control de ccd y proceso de imagenes.

En cuestiones astronómicas a nivel aficionado, andamos escasos, amigo Mikel. El panorama mejora, porque algunos fabricantes de cámaras CCDs o telescopios ofrecen controladores o documentación de sus protocolos, y hay una plataforma estándar llamada INDI que viene a ser el ASCOM de Linux. En cuanto a DSRL la cosa está difícil, porque por ejemplo Canon solo da controladores para Mac y Windows. Y en cuanto a programas de procesado de imagen astronómico... hay que tirar de IRAF o MIDAS, que son software profesional. No he visto tutoriales o scripts astronómicos para Gimp, por ejemplo :-/ De hecho, la astronomía es una de las pocas razones por las que mantengo una partición Windows en el portátil.
